Located in Sonoma, California, on a sloped 5-acre hillside surrounded by vineyards, this newly-constructed home provides indoor and outdoor living spaces that take full advantage of beautiful wine country views.
Considering the natural ecology of the site and needs of an active family of five, we introduced a native meadow, gathering spaces, unique view portals, privacy screening, poured-in-place concrete terraces, a steel pergola, fire pit, stone paver patios and drought-tolerant low-maintenance plantings.
Once a harsh and barren site, the home is now connected to the slope it crowns with paths, shade structures and garden spaces that invite exploration, and living and lounging outdoors.
