Sprig Landscape Design Studio creates experientially rich, water-wise landscape designs that utilize regionally appropriate materials and plantings to promote sanctuary, biodiversity and habitat restoration. We work closely with clients, architects, contractors, engineers and artisans to craft dynamic, sensory, artistically expressed and ecologically sound outdoor spaces. Taking the time to understand the character of each site and needs of our clients into consideration, we create sustainable designs of subtle beauty.

Judy Val Gelb is a landscape designer and artist. She received her Master’s Degree in Landscape Design from Columbia University. Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area and founding Sprig in 2012, she has taken on projects both big and small, from small urban gardens and backyard renovations to large rural land and estate planning.
