Sprig Landscape Design created a beautiful low-water solution to reduce the environmental impact of a large lawn on this hillside property.

We developed a plan that replaces a lawn with planting mounds of mostly native and Australian bunchgrasses, shrubs, groundcovers, wildflowers and other low-water plantings that have year-round interest. Textured and tranquil, the space invites nature back in. A gravel path around the pool to the backyard vineyard and raised vegetable beds at the edges evoke the warmth and feel of Mediterranean gardens.
