Our clients wanted to replace their thirsty lawn with a low-water design that harmonizes with the architecture of the house and wild beauty of the Oakland Hills.

Sprig created an intimate ecological sanctuary by designing an outdoor living room consisting of a simple steel and wood shade structure and permeable stone and gravel patio. The plant palette consists of drought-tolerant native and Mediterranean plantings that restore the beauty of the site and welcome birds, butterflies, and humans alike.
