Berkeley Hills Garden Remodel

Known as the Sunset House, this home and garden were multi-planned in 1939 with the input of 300 members of the Berkeley Women's City Club in conjunction with Sunset Magazine. The garden was thoroughly remodeled in 2016. Lawns were removed and replaced with native and low-water plantings. The garden is an artful composition of stacked stone benches, a bluestone path, patio, gravel sitting area and planted mounds. An extensive gray water catchment system was installed in the back garden and is integrated with the automatic irrigation system.
